Alexander Novak sends a welcome address to ENERGOPROM Forum participants

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak addressed a welcome message to the participants of the Kazan International Electric Power Forum ENERGOPROM, underscoring the strategic importance of the energy industry for the country's economy and technological development.

"Dear colleagues, dear friends! I welcome you to the ENERGOPROM Forum in Kazan — one of the key venues for discussing the development of Russia's energy industry. Today the energy industry is becoming one of the key arenas of global competition. Its development largely determines the pace of economic growth, the resilience of national economies and the potential for technological leadership. Power equipment manufacturing plays a particular role in this process. The industry faces large-scale objectives — to meet the growing demand of the domestic power sector driven by the modernisation and expansion of generating capacity, and to attain world-leading positions in the standard of its technological solutions. This is a matter not only of replacing equipment, but also of creating competitive next-generation products. That will strengthen the standing of Russian manufacturers, improve the efficiency of the power sector and give our economy additional advantages in global competition. It is important that the ENERGOPROM Forum is becoming a venue for professional discussion of the progress of its implementation, for the exchange of best practices and for the development of concrete solutions. I am confident that the joint efforts of government, business and the academic community will make it possible to develop effective approaches to achieving the goals that have been set, to strengthening international cooperation and to promoting Russian technologies on global markets. I wish all participants of the forum productive work, substantive discussions and the successful implementation of the initiatives outlined!", - the address reads.
