The ENERGOPROM Forum hosted a ceremony to present certificates to participants of the INTE-RUSSIA international internship programme

The Kazan International Electric Power Forum ENERGOPROM hosted a ceremony to present certificates to participants of the INTE-RUSSIA international internship programme, run by Kazan State Power Engineering University together with the Gorchakov Fund and the Youth Diplomacy Academy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The internship programme is being held for the second time and is aimed at developing international cooperation in the energy sector, training highly qualified specialists and promoting Russian educational and technological solutions abroad. In 2025 the programme's participants were representatives of Indonesia, Pakistan, Serbia, Kuwait and Algeria. The two-week educational programme was devoted to oil production and refining and to the University's research in this field. Following the internship, cooperation agreements were prepared with universities in Pakistan and Indonesia, and initiatives were elaborated for applying technologies developed by Kazan State Power Engineering University and the Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences at oil fields in Kuwait. In 2026 the programme brought together 10 specialists from energy companies and relevant ministries of African countries — Ethiopia, the Republic of South Africa, Zambia, Nigeria, Morocco and Egypt. The participants include engineers, lecturers, researchers and representatives of government authorities. The educational programme of the internship comprises three key modules. The first module involves the interns taking part in the business programme of the ENERGOPROM Forum, including round tables, panel sessions and industry discussions, which allows participants to become familiar with the current agenda for the development of the electric power industry and to establish professional contacts. The second module is an educational block delivered at Kazan State Power Engineering University. Within it, leading lecturers and experts introduce participants to current developments in alternative, nuclear and hydrogen power, the digitalisation of the industry and the deployment of robotics solutions. The third module includes a practice-oriented part — visits to technology parks and special economic zones, among them Innopolis and the Zelenodolsk District, as well as meetings with representatives of energy companies and the relevant regulatory authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition, the internship programme provides for a cultural and educational block delivered with the support of the Youth Diplomacy Academy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Participants learn about the history, culture and traditions of the region, which helps to strengthen humanitarian ties and develop international dialogue. Certificates for completing the internship were received by Ahmed Mohammed Said Ahmed (Egypt), Boyce Rudi Sono and Rajoel Clementina (South Africa), Dawit Berhe Gebremedin (Ethiopia), Gadvsill Sedem Buabassa (Ghana), Joan Uzoamaka Nwafor (Nigeria), Muna Al Abboubi (Morocco), Mwango Nkole and Chisanga Sampa (Zambia); they were presented by Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Eduard Sheremetsev and Rector of Kazan State Power Engineering University Edvard Abdullazyanov.
