ENERGOPROM International Forum concludes in Kazan

From 1 to 3 April 2026, Kazan Expo hosted the Kazan International Electric Power Forum ENERGOPROM, organised jointly with the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The forum became one of the industry's key venues for discussing current issues in the development of the electric power sector, technological cooperation and workforce training. Delegations from the Republic of Belarus, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Yemen and China took part in the events, along with representatives of 23 Russian regions. In total, more than 10,000 participants registered for the forum.

The exhibition brought together 117 companies presenting advanced solutions and technologies in the energy sector — from generation and grid infrastructure to digital and engineering developments.

The forum's guests of honour included Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergei Tsivilev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich, Minister of Oil and Minerals of the Republic of Yemen Mohammed Abdullah Ali Bamakaa, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev, as well as heads of the energy authorities of Central Asian countries.

The forum's business programme comprised 68 events, including a meeting of the State Council Commission, a meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council, Supplier Day and Youth Day, held with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of the CIS Electric Power Council, RusHydro, UEC-Engineering, the Digital Energy Association and other industry organisations.

The key event was the plenary session "GOELRO ver. 2.0: Reviving a Legend", which addressed strategic directions for the development of the electric power industry, the modernisation of infrastructure and the shaping of the country's long-term energy policy.

The forum resulted in more than 20 business meetings and negotiations, as well as 13 cooperation agreements signed to develop interregional and international engagement in the energy sector.
