The average economic effect of the Labour Productivity federal project at companies amounts to RUB 20 million

Today, the Kazan International Electric Power Forum ENERGOPROM-26 hosted the session “Labour Alchemy: How to Turn Ordinary Hours into Productive Gold”. The session addressed ways to raise labour productivity and the existing government support measures that companies can draw on. First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Rodion Karpov noted that the main tool for improving operational efficiency is the Labour Productivity federal project, which forms part of the Efficient and Competitive Economy national project. By 2030, more than 600 Tatarstan companies are expected to take part in the federal project. “As of today we already have 355 participants from 40 municipalities of Tatarstan. More than 6,000 employees have been trained in lean manufacturing tools. At the same time, the average economic effect of the pilot projects amounts to RUB 20 million” — said Rodion Karpov. Head of the Regional Competence Centre for Labour Productivity of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Bayramov reported on the opportunities and the terms of participation in the federal project: “The key criterion for joining the project remains revenue at the level of RUB 400 million. More than 900 companies in the republic meet this criterion,” he said, recalling that a company can become a participant by applying through the Proizvoditelnost.rf IT platform. The session also reviewed a completed case study of PromEnergo, a participant in the federal project, which tripled its output and cut process lead time by 65% as a result of the work carried out. To reinforce the effect of the federal project, Russia is developing programmes for individual sectors of the economy. One such programme, in the housing and utilities sector, was presented by Andrey Artemyev, Head of the Regional Centre for Housing and Utilities Efficiency of the Republic of Tatarstan. Another topic of discussion was digital tools for improving production efficiency, presented by Nikolay Lunev, Director for Consulting and Integration at Digital Platform KAMAZ LLC.
